This page explains what PopUp stores on your device and why. Read it with our Privacy Policy.

The short version

We don't use advertising or social-media tracking cookies. We only store what PopUp needs to work, plus a few small conveniences. If we ever add analytics tools that use cookies, they'll only run if you choose "Accept all".

What we store

PopUp uses your browser's storage (similar to cookies):

• Sign-in session — keeps you signed in. Kept until you sign out. (essential)
• popup-cookie-consent — remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask every visit. Kept for 12 months. (essential)
• popup-vid — a random, anonymous ID so a business's page-view count isn't inflated by repeat visits. It isn't linked to you or your account. Kept until you clear your browser data. (needed for accurate insights)
• popup-recent-searches — your last 5 searches on Explore, kept only on this device so you can repeat them. Clear them anytime with the "Clear" button. (convenience)
• popup-visits / popup-install-dismissed — used to show the "Add PopUp to your home screen" tip on your second visit, and to stop showing it once you close it. (convenience)

Analytics

We don't currently use analytics tools on PopUp. If we add privacy-friendly visit statistics later, we'll update this policy first.

Third-party services

• Google Fonts delivers our fonts. Your browser requests the font files from Google, which receives technical information such as your IP address.

Changing your choice

Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to change your choice. You can also clear PopUp's data in your browser settings — we'll simply ask again next time.
